6. Attach the printer to the mounting bracket as
shown in Figure 4. When attached correctly, the
hinge on the printer's case will fit into the
mounting bracket's lower “lip” (Figure 5).
7. Position and install the removable base
mounting bracket against the printer so that the
“lip” is facing toward the printer and fits in the
groove in the printer's case (Figure 6).
8. Install the (2) #8-32 Philips pane head screws
(Figure 7).
9. Inspect the final assembly to make sure it is
complete. All hardware and components should
be tight and secure.
Note: After the bracket is installed, you may need
to occasionally inspect the hardware for potential
loosening.

Installing the Bracket
1. Locate a position for the bracket based on the
General Guidelines in the previous section. When
mounted, the printer should be positioned so that
paper exits the top of the printer and the logo is in a
horizontal, readable position. Allow 4-6” above the
printer for the paper to exit properly.
2. Use the bracket as a guide to mark the four (4)
mounting holes on the mounting surface (Figure 2).
The mounting bracket should be positioned in the
“top” position with the two rectangular cutouts are
located at the top as shown in Figure 2.
3. Drill the mounting holes at the marked locations.
4. Using four (4) #8-32 82° x X length flat head
machine screws zinc-plated, attach the mounting
bracket to the mounting surface (Figure 3).
5. Thread the #8 flat washers and #8 locking hex nuts
to the screws and tighten securely.
Note: The walls of a vehicle are typically not
strong enough to properly secure the printer and
mounting bracket. Datamax-O’Neil strongly
recommends adding additional mounting
surfaces to secure the mounting bracket and
printer.
Note: If necessary, locking agents on the bolts
may be used. If locking agents are used, follow
the manufacturer's installation instructions.
