Section 2: Re-routing the Cables and
Replacing the Depot Bracket
1. Attach the five sets of zip ties to the depot
bracket. The zip ties should leave enough room
so that the cables can easily slide through them
(Figure 7).
2. Route the cables through the zip ties so that the
cables fit snugly in the zip ties (Figure 8). Use
Figure 9 as a guide when routing the cables.
For cables that are routed through the AC
Adapter cradle, use the zip ties located in the two
top corners to route the cables.
3. Bundle the cables together in the retainer clip
(Figure 10). Avoid creating sharp bends in the
cable (Figure 11).
4. Re-attach the bracket to the wall.

Section 1: Removing the Depot Bracket
and Cables
1. Make sure the depot bracket is not connected to a
power supply. Carefully remove the depot bracket
from the wall (Figure 1).
2. Using wire cutters, cut all zip ties, making sure not
to cut the cable (Figure 2). One set of zip ties is
located within the AC Adapter cradle (Figure 3).
3. Remove the cables from the grey cable retainer
clip. Note how the cables were routed (Figure 4).
4. From the front of the depot bracket, unscrew the
two screws holding the split cable onto the depot
bracket and set aside the split cable. Also, note the
location of the mounting holes (Figure 5).
5. To return the removed split cable, contact Datamax-
O’Neil at (949) 458-0500 for additional instructions.
6. Place the new 5-way split cable onto the back of
the depot bracket, then re-attach the screws based
on the location in step 4 (Figure 6). When attached
correctly, the AC Adapter should be facing up.
7. Attach the nuts and washers to the back of the 5-
way split cable.
8. Proceed to Section 2: Re-Routing the Cables and
Replacing the Depot Bracket.
